THE MLD INSTITUTE The Anthony DiFalco Scholarship Why the Anthony DiFalco Scholarship? Anthony DiFalco, was a respected business leader in Detroit, Michigan, a philanthropist and community leader. He helped many with his charitable contributions. He was generous to give many a person their first opportunity to receive education, employment and a better life for which he was acknowledged in the Detroit Free Press. THE NEED: The MLD Institute recognizes that sstudent work hard and have need of financial assistance. This is why the Anthony DiFalco Scholarship exists to provide relief for students while preparing them with MLD skills that will help them meet the marketplace need for the modality in a variety of settings. We do have a limited number of scholarships each year however, and it is best to apply as early as possible to ensure your scholarship. Upon approval of your application, you may attend courses at a reduced rate of ($100.00) per class until graduation. HOW IT WORKS: Once you are asssigned a scholarship for the course it is good for you up till one year after you graduate. If a student waits until one year post graduation, the scholarship becomes null/void. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide assistance while the student is in school and just up to graduation to help prepare them for work entry. You have one year from the date you are assigned your scholarhship to complete courses at the scholarship price. Thereafter, you must pay the professional pirice to take the course. WHAT IF I GET BEHIND IN MY STUDIES?: The MLD Institute values your commitment to your school. While our courses consists of six classes, you do have up till one year to complete your course at the scholarship price. This way if you need to take a break to catch up on studies for personal reasons you have flexibility and can catch up with MLD Instiute courses a month or two later. MY OBLIGATION: The MLD Institute provides the Anthony DiFalco Scholarship to a limited number of students each year. In return, the Institute requests that each student offer one MLD session (free of charge) to a person of their choice and to have this individual fill out a short question form to be returned to the Institute.
