    The MLD Institute began a new trend in the delivery of CE's with it's "Therapist Centered" approach. Over a decade of healthcare professionals input went into every facet of the MLD Institute from our fast/pace track program to the course content and delivery.

   What's most appealing is that therapists are able to achieve substantial outcomes after taking just one course! The course was designed by a therapist for therapeutic outcomes. "The focus is very practical," summarized E. Valdez, O.T.R, L.M.T.


FLEXIBLE PROGRAM


COURSE MODULES- The certification course is broken into modules that may be taken on an "as need basis." You do not have to take the entire certification course. However upper level studies carry a course prerequisite of class 101.

TOPIC SPECIFIC- courses offer specialized studies that match every practitioners setting. Whether you prefer to work with children, athletes or in a spa or medical environment, the Institute has the perfect course for you.

FLEX TIME- Whether your pace is "one day at a time" or "I need this right now," the MLD Institute is there for you. You control how fast or slow you want to go. And if you find it necessary to take a break, you simply return to the rotation of courses closest to your area for completion. Recommended return within 1 year.

At My Own Pace Track:

You may choose to take one course at a time. At your leisure, you can plan on completing the course in 6 months by taking one class per month.

Fast Track:

The Institute has met other practitioners who had immediate need of certification in order to obtain their dream job. If this is you, The MLD Institute offers a 6-day certification course. In just one week you can complete the entire course. These course fill quickly and have a maximum capacity of 20 students. Don't wait.

 

FINANCIAL OPTIONS


STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS - The MLD Institute offers the "Tony DiFalco Scholarship annually to a number of students each year. Apply early, as there is a limited number of scholarships. Scholarship application available online.

PROFESSIONAL DISCOUNTS- Are you a member of your profession, either at the state or national level? If so, you are eligible for our discounted rate.

6-DAY CERTIFICATION - A deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve your seat. The balance becomes due 2 weeks before the course commences. The MLD Institute accepts: Credit Cards, Cash, Money Orders and Checks written a month prior to the course.

PAY AS I GO - For those uncertain about taking a full certification in MLD or have scheduling challenges, the pay as I go option works well. You pay as you take each individual course and can arrange to take the next course when your schedule permits.

WHAT STYLE OF MLD WILL I LEARN?

Vodder Style MLD. It is the most requested MLD in America today.

 

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MLD/CDP CERTIFICATION AND HOLISTIC MLD CERTIFICATION?

MLD/CDP certification focuses on a lymphedema population which affects approximately 3% of the population. Holistic MLD Certification focuses on over 40 conditions mentioned in Vodder's MLD for both health and beauty, requires no additional certification for measuring compression garments or stocking shelves with expensive items or equipment.

WHAT IS THE COURSE OUTLINE FOR THE DAY?

The MLD Institute's 7 Pillars of Learning

Each course is designed to build one on top of the other to bring you through the course systematically from beginner to advanced level practitioner. Each course consists of the MLD Institutes 7 Pillars which is our course outline.

1. A & P of the Lymphatic System
2. "Hands On" with MLD Strokes
3. Research Methods & Resources
4. Case Study(s)
5. HEP's/Exercise
6. Core Competancy
7. MLD History

IS THERE AN EXAM?

Upon completion of the last class, there is a 3 part exam given for Holistic MLD Certification which requires 80% or higher on each part of the test. The three parts of the test:

1. Case Study - You are given ample time to work on your case study prior to the last class. The MLD Institute will give you a Case Study worksheet to follow.

 

2. Written Exam - 100 questions of multiple choice, true and false. A study guide is given to ensure you revisit the information in your handouts throughout the course. The test includes the articles and research handouts distributed in the class.

3. Practical Exam - You will have 1 hour to work on a partner for examination of MLD delivery.

*No testing is performed under the influence of alcohol.

POST MLD CERTIFICATION SERVICES

 

After you have completed your certification, the MLD Institute will include your name on our website of Holistic MLD Certified Practitioners to help those seeking your services to find you.
